All prices are in Canadian dollars and are subject to federal and provincial tax.
All prices include the helicopter transportation in and out.
The lodge capacity is 18. To book the full lodge a minimum of 16 is required.

Guided Week: The cost for a guided catered week is 1950. To book a week, $500/ person deposit is required. The balance is due 3 months before the start of the trip. See the chart for available weeks. For guided groups booking the whole lodge(16 guests), the group organizer will receive a free trip.

Self Guided Groups: Groups are allowed to book Icefall lodge without a guide. The weeks listed above as available, are open to self guided groups. Self guided groups can be up to 18 people. The prices above are for 16 people, there is an additional charge the 17th and 18th person.

A $3000 deposit is required to book the lodge. A further deposit of 3000 is due September 1, and the balance 3 months before the start of the trip. All deposits are non refundable. The group organizer must collect money from the group and pay us by cheque. We do not want 16 individual payments. The prices listed above are total for the group. It is up to the group how to divide this total. The group organizer may deserve a free trip or discount for the work involved in organizing the week.

If you have a partial group and wish to come self guided, there may be some weeks which will be available. Enquire for availability. Partial groups must use the catered option as there is limited space in the kitchen. To book a partial group a deposit of $500/ person is required.

Self guided groups may be catered or self catered. It is recommended that self guided groups have the week catered. The additional cost is only 250/person for food, chef and all the preparation before hand. Also with limited space on the helicopter, the experience of how much to pack is very useful. If the week is self catered, there will be a custodian at the lodge. The group will be responsible for providing meals for the custodian.

Waivers: All visitors to the lodge will be required to sign a Waiver. Those not using a guide will be required to sign a Self Guide Waiver

Payment: Payment is by cheque in Canadian funds. You can pay by cheque in foreign funds and you will be credited the amount received at our bank. This is less than the posted rate.

Logistics: All winter trips to Icefall are fly in, fly out one week trips. We will meet at the Chatter Creek Staging area in Donald at 11 am on Saturday. This is 20 minutes west of Golden on the Trans Canada Highway. There will be a helicopter safety briefing by the pilot and then 4 flights in. The flights are normally 15 minutes one way. Because space is limited on the helicopter, we limit your personal gear to 2 small packs (Less than 40 liters each). Do not bring large duffle bags or packs. Individual pack weight should not exceed 35 pounds (combined weight) including beverages, not including skis. See the gear list for required items.

Transportation: There is an international airport in Calgary. Golden can be reached by driving 3 hours west of Calgary. You will be responsible for your own transportation to Golden and from Golden to the staging area (20 minutes to the west). There is transportation available by Greyhound or a shuttle service directly from Calgary International Airport. Please do not leave valuables in the vehicles parked at the staging area.

Helicopter cost: Any extra helicopter flights due to excess baggage, late arrival or special flights mid week are the responsibility of the individual.

Poor weather: If we are unable to fly on the Saturday, you are responsible for your own accommodation in Golden but will not be charged extra if you are unable to fly out of the lodge. It is good to leave a day leeway with any transportation arrangements especially flights.

Communication: There is a satellite phone at Icefall Lodge as well as a radio repeater. There is also satellite internet at the lodge.

Cancellation: It is recommended that you buy cancellation insurance at the time you book the trip. You may have another skier go in your place if you can't make the trip. We do not give refunds. You are responsible if you miss your trip for any reason, including but not limited to, missed, delayed or cancelled flights, road closures, Customs Canada, personal or business reasons.

Rescue and Evacuation: The individual is responsible for the helicopter cost if they need to be flown out due to injury, medical, or any other reasons. It is suggested that you buy insurance to cover this.
