Fees and Waivers
Icefall Traverse: 6 Days in June-September. Price: $1200 CAD plus 5% GST
Mt.Forbes Summit: 3 Days July- September. Price for 1 person $1300; For 2 people $775/person, add 5% GST.
Lyell Summit Week: 6 Days July- September. Price $2150; For 2 people $1300/person, add 5% GST.
Private Guiding: 1 person, 400/ day; 2 people, 450/day.
Lodge Rental: Individuals or groups may rent Icefall Lodge for their own mountaineering adventure. The lodge sleeps 16; the cost is $30/person/night + gst. Exclusive lodge rental is $400/night + gst.
Waivers: All visitors to the lodge will be required to sign a Waiver. Those not using a guide will be required to sign a Self Guide Waiver
Booking Policy: A deposit, of half the trip price is required to a hiking tour. The balance is due 4 weeks before the start of the trip. Minimum group sizes may apply.
Payment: All prices are in Canadian dollars and subject to 5% GST. Payment is by cheque in Canadian funds. You can pay by cheque in foreign funds and you will be credited the amount received at our bank. This is less than the posted rate.
Helicopter: The normal fly days for helicopter access are Saturday and Tuesday.
Hiking access is possible but no longer recommended due to the deteriorating condition of the logging roads. See Summer access for more details. If groups would like to hike in instead of taking a helicopter, it is recommended that they have a guide for this day. There are several different options for hiking in depending on the condition of the road.
Communication: There is a satellite phone at Icefall Lodge as well as a radio repeater to talk to the helicopter company in Golden.
Cancellation: It is recommended that you buy cancellation insurance at the time you book the trip. You may have another person go in your place if you can't make the trip. We do not give refunds. You are responsible if you miss your trip for any reason, including but not limited to, missed, delayed or cancelled flights, road closures, Customs Canada, personal or business reasons. Icefall Lodge reserves the right to cancel trips, in this case you will be given a full refund.
Rescue and Evacuation: The individual is responsible for the helicopter cost if they need to be flown out due to injury, medical, or any other reasons. It is suggested that you buy insurance to cover this.
